It is a very good antispyware program. I think of this as more like Advanced Spyware Remover as opposed to Microsoft Antispyware/Windows Defender or the sort.
Then again, Im talking about the FREE version which is void of realtime protection and scheduled scanning.
The $30 pro version has both the scheduled scanning and the realtime protection and a host of other features described on the homepage which seem to be, in short, the two things mentioned above.
The scanning engine is pretty good. Like all other antispyware programs, this program found stuff others didnt.
The scan times are a little high, however this is a time based off an XP machine with 128MB of RAM… :P.
The interface is wonderful. It is a lot like CCleaner, for those of you who have used it. And, my god, I am SOOOOOO happy to finally see a program mimic Windows XP in handling the detection results, with the XP-style checkboxes…let alone the fact that you can uncheck/check any result found.
I wish more programs would use this means of handling results.
Most of the features in this FREE version you will find will tell you to buy the program for $30. So…
Its good as another program to scan your computer manually…especially since the free version does in fact include updates, which you have to do manually of course. The PRO version does updates automatically.

Had SUPERAntiSpyware a few years ago ~ Liked it then, like it now. The really cool thing is if you have a wireless set-up, it lets you know when “outside” systems attempt to piggyback or enter your system. I live in a apartment complex, so I’m I’m amazed at the slackers who attempt to feed off of your paid services. Trend Micro not only passively blocks any further encroachment other than use your wave length, you can also “zap” ‘em and block them from using your paid resources. Fun! Had a problem (that was my fault) loading the program, SUPERAntiSpyware was fast to help and very painless. It’s good to be back.

No more trojans and keyloggers
Thanks to search-and-destroy because of which I could find several keyloggers and trojans on my computer. I had also tried for some other antispyware but no one could detect my problem. Your software is excellent.

My HP workstation has been crippled for months. After much web using my wife’s MAC I decided to try and remedy the Trojan DNS issues but the recommended procedures were lengthy and repetitive. I read a post on a forum about running Spydoctor and getting false reports. At which point I was directed to Superantispyware… Here the forum indicated a free download and effective results. So I thought I’d cut to the chase and copy the file over to the workstation and install it. Within only a few minutes I was up and running a quick scan. My God!!! The hard drive was filled with all sorts of malware. Scan type : Quick Scan Total Scan Time : 00:18:09 Memory items scanned : 438 Memory threats detected : 3 Registry items scanned : 415 Registry threats detected : 99 File items scanned : 38440 File threats detected : 42 I was really impressed! Now that the browsers might be able to work properly again and not get redirected to other sites I decided to get the most current core and trace updates to perform a final scan. At that point I purchased the Lifetime PRO edition for $19, installed and re-scanned. Zero detected the next go-around!! Very cool. I checked the following morning for updates and sure enough another update was provided by the manufacturer for several malware types. That’s excellent news that they constantly keep abreast of new threats. I give this one 5 stars! Thanks!

My computer was also infected with malware. It was constantly starting a scan, taking over my internet browser, hogging system resources and had disabled taskmaster. I downloaded the free version of superantispyware, and it fixed the all problems it found. My computer has run perfectly since. I was very impressed as I had already run other antivirus and antispyware scans to no avail. Not even NIS 2007, spybot or Ad-aware removed the problems. Superantispyware saved me from spending $150 in repairs!!

Found and cleaned problems undetected by other products: VERY thorough. The free version worked so well I bought the professional version, something I almost never do. Lifetime subscription is one time and very reasonable.
Since then, and with a nightly scheduled scan, I have not had to hunt down patches and particular fixes for particular viruses: to date, SUPERantispyware has successfully detected them all.
