The good: Panda Antivirus 2008 includes antispyware protection.
The bad:
Panda Antivirus 2008 has not been reviewed by many independent antivirus test sites, making it hard to say how effective it is; it tends to be slower than the competition; support is light, with almost no documentation and a requirement that Panda own any personal information sent via e-mail technical support. The bottom line:
Panda Antivirus 2008 is slower than the competition and lacks independent, third-party antivirus test results, and thus doesn’t receive our recommendation.

Blessing in Disguise
Before installing search-and-destroy I used to work under a lot of stress. As I always worried about various trojan invading my computer and corrupting my data. Re-doing my work and completing my assignments in time was always a stressful job. But after installing your software it detected all the trojans which the other softwares could not detect. Search and Destroy is really a blessing in disguise
Panda Antivirus Pro 2009 Review by Stephen, February 26, 2009
Don’t waste your money, this program is far worse than any virus you might get. It took me three days to get it installed. It would not install, giving me a repeated warning that I had “PC-cillin” installed and it was not compatible. I’ve never used PC-cillin. I emailed their US support address, no reply in four days.
After I finally got it installed it greatly slowed my bootup, slowed or stopped my dial-up connections, and kept giving me constant and annoying popups about enabling automatic updates as well as many other subjects.
It would not even let me uninstall it without firing up FireFox and sending me to it’s homepage for a little list of questions about why, followed by sending me to a marketing page to sell me more malware. (Yes, I said malware!)
